Windmill Animal Farm
For a fun day out for all of the family, Windmill Animal farm, near Burscough is a working farm and home to a number of different animals. Set in acres of rolling green countryside around a
renovated windmill, it combines farmlife with various attractions
such as a Playbarn, filled with softplay areas and ball pools,
pedal tractors and a miniature railway.
Many attractions cater for visitors of all ages and abilities.
Tucked away in Rufford is a true wildlife oasis - Mere Sands
Wood Nature Reserve, which has a number of pathways and walks within 100 acres of woodland, lakes and heaths and provides a total of 750 metres of wheelchair access. Seven hides dotted around the reserve allow visitors to view a diversity of wildfowl and waders and two hides offer access for disabled visitors. |
