In addition to the countryside, waterways and cycleways,
West Lancashire offers superb opportunities for the keen
golfer. The 18 hole course at Beacon Park Golf Course, Up
Holland, welcomes non members and is a picturesque testing ground set high above the Lancashire plain. The 5,996 yard
course has a par of 72.

There is also an all-weather driving range with 24 bays and a
fully-stocked golf shop plus full bar and restaurant facilities. Mossock Hall is a challenging parkland course with splendid
views over the West Lancashire countryside and Ormskirk Golf course with a par 70 of 6,480 yards, is a test for golfers of all handicaps.

If you are looking for more action then West Lancashire can offer
that too, with a range of water pursuits based at two large lakes. Lesiure Lakes provides the perfect base for windsurfing and canoeing, sailing and jetskiing. Competitors travel from far and
wide to the races held at the Mountain Bike Centre, and there is
also quad biking and paintballing.
